Manchester United still view Gareth Southgate as their first-choice replacement for Erik ten Hag, according to reports.
Ten Hag is widely expected to leave his role at Old Trafford, despite winning the FA Cup on Saturday. The Dutchman oversaw a largely miserable second season in charge, with controlling co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to make a change in the dugout.
Southgate will lead England into this summer's Euro 2024 tournament, which gets underway in just over two weeks. However the Three Lions fare, it appears that Southgate will remain top of Ratcliffe's list.
